Tibetans in Exile in Dharamsala,India-Exile Home of His Holiness The Dalai Lama meet for 5 day special meeting to discuss the future course of action. Around 600 exile Tibetans from around the world gathered in Dharamsala for a special six-day brain-storming session to find ways to fulfill the aspirations of the Tibetan people for a free Tibet.
With many believes that a strategic change will occur in Tibetan struggle for a Free Tibet.
With the Tibetan youth demanding a complete independence of Tibet.Young Tibetan leaders at a summit of exiles are pushing the Himalayan region to declare independence from China, while the older guard continues to support a more conciliatory approach toward Beijing, participants said.The tug-of-war over the future of the Tibetan movement comes after the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan spiritual leader, publicly expressed frustration over the failure of his "middle way" approach to yield greater autonomy for the region.
Earlier Dalai Lama has said "As far as I'm concerned I have given up," "The issue of Tibet is not the issue of the Dalai Lama alone. It is the issue of 6 million Tibetans. I have asked the Tibetan government-in-exile, as a true democracy in exile, to decide in consultation with the Tibetan people the future course of action," the Dalai Lama said.
The meeting concludes on 22nd November.The Tibetan summit attendees are likely to meet Dalai Lama on sunday with a press conference.
Hopefully whether a change will come or not still is a question in itself.
